Defense On The Rise

Oh, I’m alive. Started a new job which has kept me sidetracked a bit, but I’m alive. And as are the Braves. Despite an underwhelming series against the Orioles, the Braves are still in first place. We always hear about the reasons for that – the team’s offense has been mostly pretty good. The starting staff, led by Sean Newcomb and Mike Foltynewicz, has improved. Even the bullpen, minus a terrible outing the other night,…

Best G’s in Braves Franchise History

In this series, we look at possibly the best possible lineup you could build that all share one thing in common – the last name that begins with the same letter. Team G One thing that will stand out about the G’s in team depth. Not that there are some…

The Braves Bullpen is Better & Still Needs Help

For the season, Inciarte has a .285 wOBA. Of the 162 current contenders for the batting crown, Inciarte has the 20th-worst wOBA in baseball. To put it more bluntly, Inciarte hasn’t been Chris Davis-bad, but he’s been pretty darn bad.…

The Braves Should Still Trade for Mike Moustakas

The Braves could still use a third baseman. I know what your thinking. Probably something like “have you seen what Johan Camargo is doing?” Yes, I have and it’s been awesome to watch. If you follow me on Twitter, you know I’ve been tweeting about Johan a lot lately. The improvements he’s made in critical areas has been nothing short of amazing and he probably deserves his own post soon. Camargo currently has a 120…
